What makes SuperMoo different from other movement reminder apps?

Three things. First, SuperMoo is character-driven: a cute cow named Moo nudges you, and a vampire-cow villain named Dracu-Moo escalates if you sit too long. Most other movement reminder apps are generic interval timers. Second, SuperMoo runs across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android, and Chrome from one purchase. Most competitors are single-platform. Third, SuperMoo is made by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so the funding model isn't ads or data, and there's no subscription pressure. See the honest comparison with other apps in the category.

Who is Dracu-Moo?

Dracu-Moo is the villain in SuperMoo. A vampire cow who chose a sedentary lifestyle, lives on the moon, and has a chalkboard plan to keep you sitting. Every movement break you take erases a line from the chalkboard. Dracu-Moo is a friendly cartoon character with a red cape, glowing eyes, and small fangs. Not scary. There is a dedicated character page for Dracu-Moo at supermoo.org/dracu-moo.

Why a cow?

Real cows in pastures walk two to five miles per day in short, frequent grazing bouts. They are the original hourly movers. Humans now wear smartwatches to recover the same rhythm cows have always had. Moo, the SuperMoo mascot, is a friendly nudge to remember what your body already knows. It's also genuinely cute, which helps the habit stick. See grazing for the longer answer.
